# Six ways to work with YPAI. One question decides which.

> YPAI operates six structured partnership programs: affiliate, reseller, strategic alliance, technology, joint venture and vendor.

Six partnership programs, one for each way an organisation can work with YPAI: from introducing an opportunity to owning the customer, integrating technology or supplying delivery capacity.

Each program has its own commercial model, account rules, onboarding path and delivery structure. Four questions decide which one is yours.

## Affiliate Partner Program

- Introduce qualified opportunities. YPAI owns the sale and delivery.
- Agreed commission on eligible, attributed business.
- Partners that can create access and trust but do not want to invoice the customer or operate the delivery program.

## Reseller Partner Program

- Own the customer relationship. Add YPAI delivery behind your offer.
- Customer relationship: owned by the reseller
- Own the customer relationship, commercial process and customer invoicing.
- Supplies the agreed capabilities and delivery components.
- Reseller margin, buy-sell pricing or another agreed commercial structure.
- Partners that already advise or deliver to customers and want to broaden their offer through YPAI's operating capabilities.

## Strategic Alliances

- Pursue selected accounts, markets or initiatives as one coordinated team.
- Both parties may participate directly in the customer relationship
- Before engagement, we define the account plan, customer ownership, solution responsibilities, proposal structure, commercial model and delivery roles.
- Joint account planning / Coordinated go-to-market activity / Combined solution design / Shared proposal development / Defined delivery responsibilities / Opportunity-specific commercial terms / Performance and pipeline reviews
- Organisations pursuing enterprise customers or markets where both parties contribute material capability, access or delivery responsibility.

## Technology Partner Program

- Connect your technology to YPAI's data and implementation capabilities.
- Your technology and YPAI's delivery capabilities are connected into an integrated or jointly marketed offer.
- API or SDK integration / Joint solution architecture / Technical validation / Reference workflows / Implementation patterns / Mutual lead routing / Coordinated sales materials / Defined support ownership / Joint market activity
- Technology companies whose products become more valuable when paired with managed data operations, human evaluation or production AI implementation.

## Joint Venture Opportunities

- Build something neither party should build alone.
- A new shared commercial asset or operation
- A new product, capability, dataset, operation or market vehicle.
- Capital and operational contributions / Ownership and governance / Intellectual property / Dataset and technology rights / Decision authority / Commercialisation / Revenue and cost allocation / Territory and market scope / Change control and exit conditions
- Opportunities with a substantial shared asset, investment requirement or market proposition that cannot be governed through an ordinary partner agreement.

## Vendor Partner Program

- Deliver specialist capacity into YPAI programs.
- In this relationship, YPAI is the customer or prime contractor
- Supply capabilities required inside YPAI customer programs.
- Is the customer or prime contractor.
- Supplier qualification / Capability and capacity review / Security and rights diligence / Statement of work / Acceptance criteria / Delivery and quality coordination / Commercial administration / Performance review
- Organisations that can supply specialist capacity or assets under a controlled delivery specification.

The starting point is four questions:

YPAI uses the answers to route each relationship into the correct program.

- Who owns and invoices the customer?

## Affiliate

- You introduce a qualified opportunity. YPAI owns the customer contract, sale and delivery.

## Reseller

- You own and invoice the customer. YPAI supplies agreed capabilities behind your offer.

## Strategic Alliance

- Both parties pursue defined customers, markets or initiatives through one coordinated account plan.

## Technology

- Your technology and YPAI's delivery capabilities are connected into an integrated or jointly marketed offer.

## Joint Venture

- Both parties create a new product, capability, dataset, operation or market vehicle under jointly defined governance.

## Vendor

- YPAI purchases specialist capacity, technology, data or services from your organisation for its delivery programs.

Partnerships can draw from both YPAI service lines.

Approved YPAI partnerships are built around defined commercial terms, lead attribution, deal registration, account and conflict rules, responsibilities, onboarding, enablement, delivery coordination and performance review.

The support follows the commercial model.

Each approved relationship receives the mechanisms required for its program and role.

## Commercial structure

- Standard agreements, program terms, commission or margin structures and opportunity-specific documentation.

## Opportunity protection

- Lead attribution, deal registration, account ownership and conflict rules where applicable.

## Sales enablement

- Relevant service information, technical materials, sales resources, positioning guidance and training.

## Technical scoping

- Access to the information required to qualify requirements and determine whether YPAI can deliver the proposed work.

## Delivery coordination

- Defined responsibilities, contacts, handovers, acceptance processes and escalation paths.

## Commercial administration

- Tracking of eligible opportunities, commissions, margins, invoicing and agreed program obligations.

## Performance management

- Periodic review of pipeline, delivery, commercial activity and continued program fit.

From application to an operating relationship.

## Review and routing

- We assess the proposed relationship and route it to the relevant program.

## Qualification discussion

- We examine business fit, capabilities, customer ownership, market relevance and any current opportunity.

## Program and commercial structure

- The parties agree on the correct program, responsibilities, commercial mechanics and account rules.

## Agreement and onboarding

- Required agreements are completed and the relevant operating materials, contacts and procedures are established.

## First activation

- The first opportunity, integration, supplier scope or joint initiative moves through the agreed operating model.

Tell us what you bring and how the relationship should operate.

The fastest way to route an application is to explain what your organisation contributes, who would own the customer relationship and whether a current opportunity already exists.

We use this information to identify the relevant program and prepare the first qualification discussion.

Dataset licensing follows a separate rights and diligence path.

Organisations that own or are authorised to represent datasets for model training, evaluation or commercial deployment follow a dedicated dataset-supply process.

The first review covers provenance, source authority, permitted use, model-training and evaluation rights, sublicensing, commercial deployment, territory, exclusivity, sample controls and technical fit.

A partnership begins after qualification and a written agreement.

YPAI will review the organisation, selected program, and opportunity context before responding.

We will scope the joint delivery.

Tell us who owns the account, what each party contributes and what commercial outcome you are trying to create.

That is enough to start the right conversation.

## What kinds of partnerships does YPAI run?

Six programs, each defined by who owns the customer and who delivers: affiliate, reseller, strategic alliance, technology, joint venture and vendor. They cover system integrators, data-infrastructure platforms, technology companies and sector specialists. YPAI's named clients include Nexdata, the global training-data company, and Cerence AI, the automotive conversational platform. Every partnership is scoped against a specific engagement, with the commercial model, account rules and delivery roles written down before the first opportunity moves.

## How does the YPAI partner program work?

It starts with four questions: who creates the opportunity, who owns and invoices the customer, what each party contributes and who is accountable for delivery. The answers route the relationship into one of the six programs. From there the process is the same for every program: qualification discussion, agreement on program and commercial structure, signed agreement and onboarding, then the first activation through the agreed operating model. The lifecycle above shows the five marks the agreement acquires.

## Can YPAI integrate with our annotation or MLOps platform?

Yes. Deliveries integrate with customer-preferred formats and storage targets (HuggingFace-Datasets-compatible Parquet, COCO, YOLO, CoNLL, JSON-Lines, customer-controlled buckets across AWS S3 / Azure Blob / GCP / on-prem). Platform-level partnerships (annotation tooling vendors, MLOps platforms) are scoped where the joint customer needs the data and the platform together.

## Does YPAI accept reseller or referral relationships?

Yes, as two distinct programs. An affiliate partner introduces a qualified opportunity and earns an agreed commission on attributed business, while YPAI owns the sale and the delivery. A reseller partner owns the customer relationship and the invoicing, with YPAI delivering the agreed capabilities behind the offer, on a margin or buy-sell structure. Both are qualified on what the partner brings to the customer: sector access, regulatory expertise, integration capability or an existing advisory relationship. Lead attribution and deal registration are part of the program terms.

## Where is YPAI based and which markets do you serve?

YPAI is headquartered in Lysaker, Norway, with operations concentrated in EU/EEA jurisdictions. Customer engagements run across European and Nordic markets, with named automotive clients in Asia (BYD) and global data-infrastructure clients (Nexdata). New-market engagements are evaluated against the regulatory and language coverage we can credibly deliver.

## How do we start a partner conversation?

Submit a brief through the partner application on this page or /contact-us/. Say what your organisation contributes, who would own the customer relationship and whether a current opportunity exists. A named person with context on the brief replies inside one EU business day with a feasibility read and the next concrete step.
